To be honest, we are living in a shameless nation, politically, speaking, we are living in some extreme conditions where anything could happen.
The people who were accused of 1.76 Lakh Crore scam and put in jail for months, are again re-instated in the country's ministry. This clearly shows, how seriously Indians take the scams, misusing our tax money, etc.. We are land of forgiveness and in-turn we get poor living conditions for millions and good living conditions for tens and hundreds.
The whole country is shocked of a brutal assault of a women in the nation's capital city, but a self-proclaimed saint commenting that its partly the poor girl's fault. We still go to the ashrams of those saints and spend thousands and millions for their development.I think, the last simply lived saints in the country were Maharishi Ramanar, Sridi Sai Baba , who knows.
People of one state is completely against providing river water to another state. Our country believes that its their issue, which is not. A river is a natural resource, even if it runs between countries, one cannot build a dam and completely make the other country void of the resource. Then what should be the case between states ? TamilNadu and Karnata should understand that Cauvery is not a Karnataka's property (since its originating in Karnataka), it is a natural resource shared by several other states.
Our country is gone to dogs and wolves, making politics out of everything possible. Cauvery water is no more a resource, its key politics. Speaking Tamil is no more a person's wish, its politically motivated terrorism. Taking about secularism is no more our national policy, its close to hurting the minorities in the country, they want no one to talk about them, use their god's name, use even someone's name in a meeting or movie. Minorities means, just they are less in number. By law, all are equals and in practice, it should be the same. So when minorities fight just someone misused their religion or caste for some movies, it seems like, they are hurt genuinely, but why are they not fighting in bigger stage, for a national cause? Its very much understandable, they have to solve their religious issues and fight for themselves at first, but in other times, they have to fight against corruption, fight for water for farmers, drinking, fight for equality, etc. This will eventually bring good terms with majority people. Hope they fight for the national issues someday or other.
Hate speech was given by a person, who is also an MP in Andhra Pradesh was not arrested for a month. He left to London, then came back and for arresting him, it took 5 days for the police. He was publicly bashing one particular religion like bashing some political party. The audience were completely in delight and enjoying his ill-words and bashing of the other religion. Is this country any secular ? Why the government is not government and mere conglomeration of different parties. Why they beg for votes, why couldn't they win them ? Why they are so sucking up to minorities, community based politics, etc... just to come to power and don't run government, but just parties.
We should administratively / by law deal with the issues:
1. Safety for women in the country
2. Stricter laws for violators
3. More secular practices and friendly festivals
4. Stricter laws against communal riots
5. More importance to farmers and their issues in South India
6. Try to reduce pollution and deforestation to some extent
